You don’t need to juggle keywords in Elicit; you write your research question as a sentence. The platform searches more than 135 million academic papers, picks the studies most relevant to that question and lists each with a short summary. You can tell which papers deserve your time without opening dozens of PDFs.

From there you can skim the summaries, drop what doesn’t fit and keep the rest in your own list. The clearer your question is about topic, population and method, the sharper the results will be. Elicit speeds up finding sources, but reading, interpreting and citing them is still your job, so it pays to confirm key findings in the paper itself.

Zotero export and file formats

Sources you find can be sent straight to your Zotero library, which keeps your bibliography tidy while you write a thesis or article. You can also export a list as RIS, CSV, BIB, PDF or DOCX. For researchers who rely on reference managers, that is a practical bridge between searching and writing.

On a shared account, searches and lists may be visible to other users. If you work on a confidential project, export your results to your own computer rather than leaving them in the account. Credit-based features and the shared account

Some Elicit Pro features run on the account’s credits, including automated reports, data extraction from PDFs and the API. Credit levels on a shared account can change, so these features are not guaranteed to work; the real value of this package lies in search, summaries and export. If you depend on the credit-based features, weigh that before you buy.

This is a shared Elicit Pro account and it is not registered to your own email. It is prepared once your payment is confirmed, and the ID and password arrive by email and under My account → Orders. We never ask you for a password. Don’t change the password or email and don’t enter personal information, because other users sign in to the same account.

The package is fully warrantied for its 25–30-day usage period: if the account stops working during that time, we send new details or a new account. Changing the password or email, or breaking the account rules, ends the warranty. Check the account when the details arrive; if anything goes wrong, email us with your order number and we will check and restore your access.
